By visiting Patricia’s Table website, registering for a class or booking an event, I (the “client”) acknowledge that I have carefully read, understand, and accept the terms and conditions.  Before a student may participate in any activity associated with Patricia’s Table, the student (or parent on behalf of the student) must agree to the terms of this Acknowledgement of Risk and Waiver of Liability:

Patricia’s Table, LLC

Acknowledgement of Risk & Waiver of Liability

By agreeing to this waiver, I acknowledge and agree to the following on behalf of myself or the minor student (the “Student”) named above:

Right to Waive: I have the right and ability to waive all rights and legal claims against Patricia’s Table, LLC, a Texas limited liability company (the “Company”) and its affiliates on behalf of myself and the Student.

Risks Associated with Cooking Activities: I understand that although the Company prioritizes safety for its students, participation in the cooking classes and other activities hosted by the Company (the “Activities”) involves an inherent risk of injury and illness including but not limited to cuts, falls, burns, allergic reactions and other risks associated with preparing and consuming food. I further understand that the Activities may include food preparation, which will require the use of potentially dangerous kitchen equipment such as knives, electric mixers, blenders, gas or electric stoves, microwave ovens, conventional ovens, etc., and that other children or adults will be present during the Activities and working with the same equipment. I hereby elect to voluntarily participate or allow the Student to participate in said Activities. I assume full responsibility for any risks of loss, property damage or personal injury that the Student, my property or I may sustain as a result of being engaged in such Activities, whether caused by the negligence of the Company, it affiliates, officers, agents or employees or otherwise. I hereby acknowledge that I know of no medical reason why the Student or I should not participate in the Activities, including, but not limited to food allergies or sensitivities. In the event of emergency, I give my consent to the Company to provide medical care to the Student or me, as applicable, and to give authority to any emergency personnel to render immediate aid.

GENERAL RELEASE: IN CONSIDERATION OF BEING PERMITTED TO PARTICIPATE IN THE ACTIVITIES PROVIDED BY THE COMPANY, I, FOR MYSELF AND ON BEHALF OF THE STUDENT, HEREBY RELEASE, WAIVE, DISCHARGE AND COVENANT NOT TO SUE THE COMPANY, ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, AGENTS OR EMPLOYEES (COLLECTIVELY, THE “RELEASEES”) FROM ANY AND ALL LIABILITY, CLAIMS, DEMANDS, ACTIONS AND CAUSES OF ACTION OF ANY KIND OR NATURE ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO ANY LOSS, DAMAGE OR INJURY, THAT I OR ANY OF MY PROPERTY MAY SUSTAIN RESULTING FROM MY PARTICIPATION IN OR IN ANY WAY CONNECTED WITH MY PARTICIPATION IN SUCH ACTIVITIES, REGARDLESS OF WHETHER SUCH LOSS IS CAUSED BY THE NEGLIGENCE OF THE RELEASEES AND REGARDLESS OF WHETHER SUCH LIABILITY ARISES IN TORT, CONTRACT, STRICT LIABILITY OR OTHERWISE. I further agree to indemnify and to hold the Releasees free and harmless from any loss, liability damage, cost, or expense which they may incur as a result of an injury that the Student or I may sustain while participating in the Activities.

I further covenant and agree that this Acknowledgement of Risk and Waiver of Liability (this “Release”) shall be construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas, and that it shall not be construed against the drafter. Furthermore, any mediation, suit or other proceeding relating to this Release and any activities covered hereby must be filed or entered into only in Texas and the federal or state courts located in Travis County, Texas. Any portion of this Release deemed unlawful or unenforceable is severable and shall be stricken without any effect on the enforceability of the Release as a whole to the full extent authorized by law.

Class Participation Policy

Classes are categorized as either drop-off, with caregiver or adult.

  • Unless specified, classes are drop-offs– only your child will participate in the class. We must know who is authorized to pick-up your child from class.
  • A class listed with caregiver includes one adult per child in the registration. No surprise visitors please.
  • Adult class registration is per person (and occasionally per couple). The more the merrier, so sign up with a friend and remember to BYOB (wine, beer, soft drink…).

Cancellation Policy

No refunds are offered for camps or classes at Patricia’s Table. We understand that life happens…

Camps

If we are able to fill your camp spot, you may either transfer your enrollment to another open camp or receive credit to a future camp.

Classes

If you cancel at least 7 days before a class you may either transfer your enrollment to another class.

If you would like to switch into another class you must email the request to us with the class that you would like to switch into.  We will confirm you via email if the class is available and charge your credit card a $5/registration administration fee.

If you notify us that you cannot attend within seven days of a class, we cannot offer a class transfer or a store credit unless we are able to fill the spot with another student.

Occasionally, Patricia’s Table will have to reschedule or cancel a class. In these situations, you will be contacted at the phone number or email address provided to offer a full refund or store credit. We will do our best to transfer you to another day the class is being offered, or a similar class.

Events

All event deposits are non-refundable one month before the event. If you need to move the event date after this time, a new deposit is required.

Events cancelled within 7 days of the scheduled event will be charged the full amount of the party with the card we have on file.

Enrollment Policy

The highest priority of Patricia’s Table is the safety and well-being of students and staff. In the event that there is a situation or circumstance which, in the opinion of the Instructor, is not or suitable for the well-being of the students and staff, Patricia’s Table reserves the right to make decisions about enrollment and participation in classes and programs. If your child is asked to leave the program, you will receive a prorated refund.
